Next year’s pearwood crop of hardwood boards has been cut and is now in the drying room where it will stay until this time next year when it’ll be time to mill it up and prepare it for its next journey as furniture.

Sawn by hand from locally grown, Herefordshire stock, these boards are beautiful and cut from a 100 year old pear tree that fell over in the recent winter storms.

Pearwood is a really beautiful hardwood that has very fine pores and a salmony pink appearance. The smooth look of the grain is gorgeous and we can’t wait to see what we can make with our 2022 pearwood crop when next Spring rolls around.
